Sophie Sabot-Barcet

President of the Superior Council of Notaries

Sophie SABOT-BARCET, 51 years old, notary in Monistrol-sur-Loire (Haute- Loire), was elected President of the Superior Council of Notaries on 25 October 2022.  

Sophie SABOT-BARCET becomes the first woman in the history of the notariat to notary's history to reach this position.

Since October 2020, she was First Vice-President of the Conseil supérieur du notariat, in charge of of the Superior Council of Notaries, in charge of the initial and continuing training of notaries and their staff, the efficiency and resilience of the profession, social profession, social relations and the social model of the notarial enterprise, as well as the forward-looking management of jobs and careers in the professions of the notarial profession. Between 2018 and 2020, she held the position of Second Vice-President of the CSN, in charge of ICT and training of notaries and employees.  

Sophie SABOT-BARCET had previously been President of the Chamber of Notaries of Haute-Loire from 2012 to 2014 and President of the commission at the 112th Congress of French Notaries on "Real Estate Ownership property - Between freedom and constraint" in 2016 in Nantes. Since 2016, she represents the notaries of the Court of Appeal of Riom at the CSN; she was a member of the of the Commission des Technologies et du Numérique of the CSN from 2016 to 2018.  

Sophie SABOT-BARCET is married and has two children. Sophie SABOT-BARCET is a Knight of the National Order of Merit.
